Prof. Dr. Kadir Gürdal obtained his undergraduate degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1992. He obtained MBA degree in 1996 with the thesis named as Activity-Based Costing and doctorate degree in 2001 with the thesis named as The Principles and the Application of Consolidating Financial Statements According to the Accounting Standards from Department of Business Administration, Institute of Social Sciences, Ankara University.
In 1993, he began his academic career as a research assistant at Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University. He received the titles of Assistant Professor in 2006, Associate Professor in 2008. He has been working in the same faculty as a professor of accounting since 2013. He served as the dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University between 2016 and 2018.
He is interested in various professional areas such as financial reporting, cost accounting and management accounting. He gave lectures at various universities such as Military Academy, TOBB ETU, Başkent University and Ufuk University. He has many papers and books published in his academic interest.
He has served as a member of the organizing and scientific committees of numerous symposiums, congresses, and other events, presenting papers and speaking at similar events. He has contributed to projects and training programs for accounting interns through TESMER under the umbrella of TÜRMOB and for professional accountants through SÜRGEM.
Gürdal, who holds the title of CPA, currently serves as the Training Coordinator of the TÜRMOB Continuous Professional Development Education Center (SÜRGEM).
Prof. Dr. Kadir GÜRDAL has been the President of MÖDAV (Turkish Accounting Academicians' Collaboration and Research Foundation) since February 2025.
